Abildgren to Serve on MESA Board
The Manufacturing Enterprise Solutions Association (MESA, www.mesa.org) named Wonderware’s Claus Abildgren to its board of directors. Abildgren, who is program manager for production and performance management software solutions at Wonderware (www.wonderware.com), will serve as MESA’s board member at large. A nonprofit organization, MESA promotes the exchange of best practices, strategies, and innovations to achieve plant-floor efficiency. MESA”s industry events, symposiums, and publications are designed to help manufacturers, systems integrators, and vendors improve manufacturing operations and manufacturing quality.
McCrometer Names Swihart Worldwide Sales Mgr
McCrometer (www.mccrometer.com), a manufacturer of flow measurement products, named Tom Swihart director of industrial sales worldwide. Swihart has experience in process engineering, control, and instrumentation. Swihart began his career with McCrometer 10 years ago as western regional sales manager before moving to his most recent position as industry sales manger for Chemical & Process industries in 1999. Prior to joining the McCrometer team, Swihart spent 15 years building his engineering and sales expertise by working with major manufacturing companies and engineering firms.
Schwing Promotes Wanstrom to National Sales Mgr
Pump manufacturer Schwing America (www.schwing.com) appointed Chuck Wanstrom national sales manager for the company’s Material Handling Division. With an educational background in civil engineering, Wanstrom joined the Schwing team in October of 1995 as project engineer for the Concrete Pump Division. As the manufacturer’s material handling product line expanded, Wanstrom was promoted to the division as West Coast sales engineer. In his recently acquired position as national sales manager, Wanstrom oversees 20 representatives servicing customers with municipal and industrial applications for Schwing’s complete biosolids processing and handling solutions.
