DP with Built-In Flow Conditioning

McCrometer’sWafer-Cone flowmeter is designed for liquid or gas service in linesizes from 1/2″ to six inches. Applications range from chemicalinjection or filtering in process lines to general plant needs, such aslines for natural gas, chilled water supporting burners or ovens,cooling systems, and HVAC. The meter relies ondifferential pressure sensing technology with built-in flowconditioning to achieve an accuracy of +/- 0.5 percent, with arepeatability of +/- 0.1 percent. It operates over a flow rangeof 10-to-one. With the ability to self-condition flow, the meter supportsconfined spaces, eliminating the need for the extensive up/down streamstraight-pipe runs required by other DP technologies, such as orificeplates and venturi tubes. Minimal straight-pipe run of zero to threediameters upstream and zero to one diameter downstream from theflowmeter.
