VIEWPOINT: Introducing the Level, Pressure & Temperature Technology Report; Flow Control Wins 2014 ASBPE Awards

Flow Control magazine, FlowControlNetwork.com
Last month I introduced our new Valves & Actuators Technology Report (Flow Control, July 2014, pages 21-39) and shared some exciting news about an award Flow Control won as part of the annual Awards for Publication Excellence competition. This month, I have similar news to share, as Flow Control introduces the Level, Pressure & Temperature Technology Report, and we were again honored as part of a leading publishing industry awards program.
As I mentioned last month, since 2004 Flow Control’s December issue has focused on flowmeter technologies and applications. We call this edition of Flow Control the Flowmeter Technology Report, and it has developed a strong and loyal following over the years.
Buoyed by the success of the Flowmeter Technology Report, Flow Control debuted the Valves & Actuators Technology Report in July, and we’re introducing the Level, Pressure and Temperature Technology Report in the August issue. This special section provides a series of feature articles, products, and spotlight supplier profiles—all narrowly focused on applications and technology solutions for effective level, pressure and temperature measurement and monitoring. Topics of coverage include:
- Technology Trends & Best Practices for Modern Level Measurements: Kelvin Findlay, an industry analyst and marketing manager at Automation Products Group, talks about the state of level measurement technology and applications.
- Pressure Transmitter Perspectives: There are multiple trends driving the pressure transmitter market, and some of these trends are also benefiting other flow technologies.
- RTDs vs. Thermocouples: Temperature is the most measured parameter across many applications and industries. But which device is the best choice for your application?
We hope you find the Level, Pressure and Temperature Technology Report to be of value. If you have suggestions for technologies, applications and/or topics we might cover going forward, I welcome your emails at the address provided below.
Flow Control Wins Azbee “Gold” Awards for Front Cover and Special Section
Specifically, the awards recognize Flow Control’s November 2013 OEM/System Integrator special section and Flow Control’s June 2013 cover design, “If Valves Could Talk.” I would like to congratulate the entire Flow Control team for all of the time and effort they put in to make Flow Control magazine and all of its companion offerings the best they can be. Kudos.
Thanks for your readership,
