A.Y. McDonald named Steve Dalton as the new president of Val-Matic Valve and Mfg. Corp. of Elmhurst, Illinois, effective May 1, 2021. Dalton will succeed John Ballun who retired in May after a 26-year career with the company.

Ballun has published numerous articles on valve technology for the Valve Manufacturers Association (VMA) and contributed to several standard development organizations including the American Water Works Association (AWWA).
Rob McDonald, CEO of A.Y. McDonald, said, “With his consulting background and Val-Matic tenure, Steve brings a wealth of industry experience and leadership to his new position and will guide the company through new challenges and opportunities as Val-Matic continues to grow."
