MCAA announces 2023 Board of Directors

Skip Tierno, President of the Americas, UCT Fluid Solutions, was elected Chairman.

(MCAA release) — The Measurement, Control & Automation Association (MCAA) recently announced its 2023 Board of Directors. MCAA President, Teresa Sebring, said, “This team of diverse leaders and industry experts will ensure continued growth and success for the association. Together, we are stronger, and I look forward to an exciting year.”

Skip Tierno, President of the Americas, UCT Fluid Solutions, was elected Chairman. He has served as President of the Americas for UCT Fluid Solutions since 2015. He graduated from the United States Military Academy at West Point with a Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering followed by a Masters degree in Finance. Following a successful military career, Skip has over 30 years of global leadership and executive management experience. His success has spanned various industries with companies such as Pepsi Co., Schlumberger, BTR, Stewart & Stevenson, Weatherford International, Kirby Corp, and Precision Castparts Corp. Tierno served as acting Vice Chairman in 2022 and has been on the MCAA Board since 2020.

Melissa Blashka, President, Cosasco will serve as Vice Chairman/Treasurer. Blashka is the President of Cosasco. Formerly, she was Vice President and General Manager of Barksdale Controls, a subsidiary of Crane Co., where since 2015, she led the Industrial & Oil & Gas businesses with responsibility for the global strategy, growth and profitability of pressure, temperature, level instrumentation and valves with manufacturing in Vernon (LA), Germany, and China. At Barksdale, Melissa led the transformation of the business from mechanical to digital and led the development and implementation of numerous processes to improve speed of customization and effectiveness of channel management. Melissa holds a BS in Manufacturing Engineering from Boston University and an MBA from New York University’s Stern School of Business. She has been on the MCAA Board since 2020.

2023 newly elected Directors-at-Large include:

  • Scott Rollman, Vice President Administration, VEGA Americas, Inc.
  • Brien Whitford, President, Engineered Specialty Products
