The Hydraulic Institute and Pump Systems Matter are offering a four-part webinar series on Variable Speed Drives, beginning on May 31.

Julian Atchia, SJE Rhombus, will lead session 1, and Sean Fitzpatrick, Schneider Electric, will lead sessions 2 through 4. The Hydraulic Institute says variable speed drives in pump systems are now a mature technology that, in correct applications, can generate large benefits to the user in cost savings and reliability improvements:

• Session 1—Intro 101, May 31, 2012, 1:00-2:00pm EDT
• Session 2—Application and Installation Considerations, June 14, 2012, 1:00-2:00pm EDT
• Session 3—Protection for VFD and Proper Output, June 21, 2012, 1:00-2:00pm EDT
• Session 4—Troubleshooting Problems with VFDs, June 28, 2012, 1:00-2:00pm EDT
