1 | mass flowmeters and controllers
Sierra Instruments’ RedySmart mass flowmeters and controllers are ideal for biopharm OEMs. Sierra also announces RedyCompact flowmeters and regulators. These thermal instruments employ high-precision MEMS technology using an advanced, ultra-stable no-drift CMOS sensor. They offer users a true OEM mass flow control solution with a modular design, cabling system, easy integration into a gas mixing bloc and digital communications options with Modbus.
2 | bioprocess valves
ITT Inc.’s Engineered Valves announced the EnviZion valve product line. The new BioviZion fractional size valve includes the technology of the EnviZion valve platform in a compact package for 1/4- to 1/2-inch applications, with features that provide a reliable, less costly valve to operate and maintain, addressing needs of sampling and low flow bioprocess applications. Features include mechanical thermal compensation system, quick-change bonnet, high-strength stainless steel studs and patented diaphragm stud.
3 | transfer tubing
Watson-Marlow Fluid Technology Group’s BioPure silicone transfer tubing provides a safe, reliable and value-based solution for a range of bioprocess fluid transfer applications. The silicone tubing is autoclavable and gamma stable up to 50 kGY to meet demanding conditions. All manufacturing and packing of BioPure fluid path components are carried out in ISO14644-1 Class 7 cleanrooms in accordance with EP 3.1.9, and the tubing is USP Class VI compliant. Lot numbering enables product traceability.
4 | integral restraints
Mueller’s Integral Hymax restraints for valves and hydrants provides utilities with a solution that has restraints installed on valves and hydrants to avoid the hassle of performing extra operation to install restraints on pipes in the ditch. This reduces install and labor time as well as complexity. Restraints are compatible with all pipe types.
